Mission

The Flint Hills Chapter of the Military Police Regimental Association is an independent nonprofit organization established to promote the history and preserve the traditions of the Military Police Corps Regiment. The Chapter directly supports 97th Military Police Battalion soldiers and families in order to advance and improve the quality of life at Fort Riley and in the Flint Hills. The Flint Hills Chapter is an approved Charter of the Military Police Regimental Association national office.

Profile

This Organization fully supports the Fort Riley policy on equal opportunity and will not discriminate in membership eligibility based on race, color, religion, gender, national origin, or sexual orientation. 

This Organization has no paid employees. It is operated by an all-volunteer team of active duty soldeirs, veterans, and spouses.

All funds raised and donated are use to support the soldiers and families of the 97th Military Police Battaion. By exception and with approval of the Flint Hills Chapter Executive Board, funds may be designated to support Fort Riley events and regional veteran support organizations.

Funds have been used to support families and soldiers in emergency need, pre-deployment unit dinners, the annual Military Police Regimantal ball, food on Christmas Eve for Fort Riley first responders (Police, Fire, Medical, and Gates), awards for soldier competitions and from the MPRA Regiment, and a scholarship through the Comined Scholarship Fund of Greater Fort Riley.

The Chapter supports the Order of the Marchaussee award to soldiers and veterans, Order of the Vivandieres award to military spouses, and the Friends of the Regiment award to individuals who voluntarily make significant contributions to the morale, welfare, and spirit of Soldiers and Family members in various facets of the Military Police Corps Regiment.

When funds are available and with approval of the Board the Chapter has sponsored MWR events at Fort Riley, the Veterans of Foriegn Wars, the American Legion, the Veteran Community Project, and the Student Veterans of America chapter at Kansas State University.
