Profile
The American Overseas Historical Society (AOSHS) was created in 1995 to preserve the history of the DoDDS overseas school system. Since its inception about 17 million school children have gone through the DoDDS school system. At one time there were over 700 schools in the system. Today less that 200 remain. To provide these students the opportunity to see and enjoy their school experience, AOSHS had collected and archived thousands of boxes of materials from these schools and created an online opportunity to see these items. They can also visit our museum at 704 W. Douglas Ave in Wichita, Kansas.
